Schampus
With skill and a steady hand, players remove the champagne glasses, one by one, from the pyramid being careful not to make any glasses fall. The winner is the player who can remove the most glasses. Game of skill Number of players: 2 and + Age: 8 to 88 Time: 10 minutes 55 clear champagne glasses - in plastic fortunately 1 red champagne glass 1 rule folder Glasses are stacked so that the base of each glass (except for those on the first level) rest on the rims (the rims of glasses on the same level should be touching each other) of three other glasses. The 55 glasses form a 3 sided pyramid with 6 levels. The first level has 21 glasses, 6 glasses to a side. The second level has 15 glasses, 5 glasses to a side and so on. The red glass sits alone at the top of the pyramid forming the 6th level. A player is designated to start. Play then proceeds clockwise.
Players play singly, for themselves or if they wish, in teams. The
player whose turn it is must remove one glass from one of the first
5 level of the pyramid. It is not permitted to remove the red glass.
If a player causes some glasses to fall but not the red one, these
are removed from play. The player may not keep the glasses that
was taken (they are removed from play) and counts zero this turn.
When a player makes the red glass fall, that player automatically loses, and the player or the team who has remove the most glasses (that counted) is the winner. If a player takes one glass, and free others, the player may not keep these extra glasses (they are removed from play and are not counted). |
